The ZF41 is unique among telescopic sights .The scope tube is 13cm long without the rain schields .
With the rain schields attached 15,5 cm and 17 cm with both rain schields fully extended .
The distance from the rear lens of the ZF41 to the buttplatte is 70 cm.
There are two types of "ZF41" scopes , the early type (Type 1) and the late type (Type 2)
The difference is visible on the elevation rings and the rainschields .

On a few ZF41 front rainshields (type2) the order number (Anforderungszeichen) 27-1079J2 can be found. This number is stamped across the top of the front rainshield (pic 1)
On others the number is found impessed horizontally .(pic2)
The least common marking of the order number , inscribed vertically and impressed horizontally .
